Choice on Tour
Take a ride across the glacier! As the largest ice field in the Rocky Mountains, you’ll have plenty of interesting sights to explore. Ride along layers of history as you journey across the field. The icefield is along the Continental Divide of the Americas, which stretches from Alaska to the tip of South America. Or, want a new perspective? Choose to walk on the Glacier Skywalk! Take in the magical landscape on this a glass-floored observation deck, giving you a panoramic view of the surrounding area. The skywalk towers over 900 feet above the ground! You’ll be able to see the Sunwapta Valley, which is a triple continental divide. The view is bound to take your breath away. Make sure you bring your camera!

Columbia Icefield
Approximately 45 minutes from Banff are a mass of glaciers and ice known as the Columbia Icefield. An Icefield is a large collection of snow and ice that feeds a valley glacier. Traveling to this area is possible via a special vehicle called a “sno-coach” with all-terrain wheels and allowing guests to step out onto the Athabasca Glacier during the 1 ½ hour trip.
